Medway Bridges Walk

Following Church Parade for Harvest Festival on Sunday 27th September, Paddock Wood Rainbows and Brownies together with their leaders took the train into Tonbridge. They had a picnic on the castle lawn in glorious sunshine, before embarking on a sponsored walk across 7 bridges spanning the river Medway. The Brownies completed a quiz on their way, and the Rainbows an I-spy sheet. They then had a play in Tonbridge park before catching the train back to Paddock Wood.

This was a pre-runner to the Guides and Senior Section attempt to walk 10 bridges for 2010 across the Thames in January 2010.

The sponsor money raised is going to provide the opportunity for every girl in the district to partake in a Centenary District Camp and Pack Holiday in May half term.
